17 years ago today I got the original Pokémon Gold version on Game Boy Color, which had been released in Europe only a few days prior then. I've rarely anticipated a game so eagerly thus I remember that day very well

Awww, these memories 
I played the good old Silver edition and I was so hyped with these (on that time) new features. New Pokémon, the switch between night and day the shinies and especially you could explore the good old Kanto region
I spent lots of hours to get all of them which I managed. But .... .. after over 6 years of not playing this game the file has been lost due to the low intern-battery of the cardrige ... all of what I collected are lost forever
